Catholic Chants is the Catholic campus ministry serving all students at Coastal Carolina University and Horry-Georgetown Technical College. We are part of the Diocese of Charleston Office of Youth and Young Adults. We provide students with Sunday Mass, Sunday Supper, bible studies, spiritual formation, vocation formation, RCIA, two retreats a year, and other opportunities for building friendships in our community.

Can a Student’s Faith Survive College?

   Most new college students want to find a place to belong. They want to be part of a community of people making a difference. The problem is, many students struggle to find great friends that share their faith. It can be overwhelming to walk onto a new campus with no friends. There’s so many opportunities and decisions to make. Faith usually isn’t at the top of their list.
   Newman Ministry connects students with a Catholic community on campus, so their faith thrives in college and beyond.
 Newman Centers are helping students continue their faith journey in college. Imagine a future where students become lifelong disciples and their faith not only survives college, it’s stronger because of it.
